WALNUT ST STABBING
3/7/2007 - At 0643,  the ambulance was alerted to 138 walnut St for reported stabbing.  
Moments later, the police arrived and reported that the victim was stabbed several times to the
head, back and stomach area's.   The bus arrived, packaged and transported the victim to an
area hospital for treatment.   Shockingly enough,  the stabbing was a result of a drug deal.  
Yes, people deal and do drugs that early.
APARTMENT OFF ON THE WEST SIDE
3/18/2007 - At 0859, the “dry” spell ended when a building assignment was toned out for 569
W High St.  Ladder 69 arrived within a few minutes of the dispatch with heavy smoke and fire
from the 2nd floor.  Engine 69-6 arrived and picked up the hydrant and W High and Glasgow.  
Deputy C (Ondik) reported “blackout” conditions with heavy fire on the 2nd fl.  Moments after
that report command requested a 2nd alarm which brought in L84, Engine 58, Engine 57 and
Rescue 34 to cover the four borough stations.  At 0920, the bulk of the fire was knocked down
and four minutes later command reported that the fire was under control.   Engine 6 and Squirt
69 cleared W High around 1010. Command released Ladder and Rescue 69 at 1041.
 
PROGRESS BEING MADE ON QUINT 69
3/23/2007 - At 0700hrs the Truck committee headed north
to KME for another meeting about Quint 69.  Progress is
being made with the cab just about finished.  The next step
will be placing the cab on a chasis (within the next few
weeks).  After that its to the pump plumbing line, then to
body and paint.  Estimated date of delivery is the 2nd week
in June if not earlier.

ONE FLOWN AFTER A FALL
3/26/07 - Around 1720 hours, engine 6 was assigned to a helicopter landing after 66yo female
fell approximately 20 steps. Prior to medical services arriving the female was unresponsive and
bleeding from the head.  Medivac 3 took the flight while Chief 69C (Gebhard) had the
command.  Units cleared in about 20 minutes.  
SOUTH FRANKLIN STREET STABBING
3/30/07 - Around 2030 hours, Rescue 69 was assigned to an assault call at 15 S Franklin St.
Rescue 69 arrived and held at High and Franklin until the police secured the area.  While the
police were speaking to the victim they discovered she was stabbed several times during the
fight and didn't know it.  The rescue crew began working on the victim until the ambulance
arrived. The victim was rushed to a local hospital with multiple stab wounds to the chest, back,
arm and head.
